The Hong Kong government announced the reappointment of John Jiang and David Yip as non-executive directors of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. The term will take effect from November 15, 2025, and will last for two years.
On October 17, the Hong Kong government announced that the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong has once again appointed Jiang Zhijiao and Yip Lai Tak as non-executive directors of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) under the power delegated by the Chief Executive in accordance with the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571). Their term will be effective from November 15, 2025, for a period of two years. A spokesperson for the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of Hong Kong stated, "Jiang Zhijiao and Yip Lai Tak have made significant contributions to the governance of the SFC, and we look forward to their continued support for the work of the SFC." The Chairman of the SFC is Dr. Carlson Tong, and other non-executive directors include Andrew Sheng, Frederick Hu, Senior Counsel Benjamin Tang, Tim Freshwater, James Tien, and Brian Ho.
