In the first half of the year, international shipping on the Lancang-Mekong River has grown rapidly.

According to the Kunming Customs, in the first half of this year, the import and export freight volume of the Mekong-Lancang River international shipping reached 125,700 tons, with a value of 15.47 billion yuan, an increase of 92.8% and 136.5% respectively compared to the same period last year. As the "golden waterway" connecting China with Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, the Mekong-Lancang River international shipping has developed rapidly, effectively promoting trade and cultural exchanges among the member countries in the Greater Mekong Subregion, injecting strong power into the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.
