According to the information from the Zhanjiang three defense department, affected by this year's Typhoon No. 6 "Wipha", Zhanjiang has experienced heavy rain to severe rain in some areas, with severe rain mainly distributed in Leizhou and Xuweng. The monitoring information from the Zhanjiang Hydrological Bureau shows that from 8:00 to 20:00 on July 20, the average rainfall in the city was 19.8 millimeters, with the largest rainfall station being 209.0 millimeters in Xuweng County Xilian Town Xilian Station, and the second largest being 161.5 millimeters in Maichen Town, Xuweng County. It is expected that Typhoon "Wipha" will bring severe wind and rain impacts to Zhanjiang, with the rivers in Zhanjiang experiencing a significant rise in water level and some rivers possibly experiencing floods exceeding the warning level. In accordance with the "Zhanjiang City Flood Prevention, Drought Prevention, Wind Prevention, Freeze Prevention Emergency Plan", the Zhanjiang Three Defense Command decided to raise the flood prevention emergency response level from level IV to level II at 20:00 on July 20, and require all relevant departments in various places to effectively carry out flood prevention work in accordance with their responsibilities and relevant regulations, conscientiously implement flood prevention emergency response measures to ensure safety.
