Gansu: 247 children with abnormal blood lead levels have all received inpatient treatment or home nutritional interventions, and the treatment effect has met expectations.

On July 20th, the investigation team of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government issued a report on the investigation and handling of the abnormal blood lead levels in children in the Heshi Peixin Kindergarten in Maiji District, Tianshui City. The Heshi Peixin Kindergarten in Maiji District has 251 children and 34 staff. Following the principle of thorough investigation, all of them have undergone blood lead tests, with 247 children and 28 staff members found to have abnormal blood lead levels. There are a total of 526 children and 67 staff in Wei Bei, Ci Ai, and Mengdi Ai Kindergartens, and 407 children and 66 staff have voluntarily undergone blood lead tests, all of which were normal. For the 72 children who have left the Heshi Peixin Kindergarten in the 2023 and 2024 classes, 70 have been tested voluntarily, with 5 found to have abnormal blood lead levels, all from the 2024 class.
