Due to Typhoon "Higos" gradually moving away, the Macao SAR Government Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau issued the "No. 8 typhoon signal" at around 5 pm on the 20th. The Meteorological Bureau stated that "Higos" will continue to move in a westward direction, gradually moving away from Macao. The wind will gradually weaken, but there is still expected to be strong winds, heavy rain, and thunderstorms due to the influence of the rain belt of "Higos". The Macao Civil Protection Action Center stated that the Guanzha border checkpoint, Hengqin border checkpoint, Qingmao border checkpoint, and the Zhuhai-Macau Cross-Border Industrial Zone checkpoint, the four immigration checkpoints connecting Macao and Zhuhai, will resume clearance starting at 5 pm. The lower deck of the Sai Van Bridge will reopen at 5 pm, but the bridge deck will remain closed.
