Russian media: Ukrainian military has lost the vast majority of American-made tanks.
According to a report by TASS on July 18, the Ukrainian armed forces have lost 27 American-provided "Abrams" main battle tanks, with only 4 remaining in service. According to the American bimonthly magazine National Interest, despite the "Abrams" tank being considered one of the most advanced and reliable armored vehicles today, it has faced difficulties on the Ukrainian battlefield. The magazine wrote: "Ukraine lacks air and artillery support, technical and mechanical professionals are in short supply, personnel and equipment are insufficient, which has led to the inefficiency of the 'Abrams' tanks on the frontline." Previously, the Russian state-owned technology group told TASS that the Pentagon plans to learn from Russian experience and research results to modify the armor of the "Abrams" main battle tanks. Due to the poor performance of these tanks in special military operations areas, the US Department of Defense intends to enhance their protection capabilities.
