Recently, the city of Rovaniemi in Finland, located in the Arctic Circle, is experiencing hot weather of around 30 degrees Celsius. Many local residents are choosing to go to the riverbank for relatively cooler areas to play and cool off. The Finnish Meteorological Institute recently stated that temperatures in many parts of Finland have exceeded 30 degrees Celsius. In northern Finland, the average summer temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius. While temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius are rare, their frequency is increasing.
