Hainan issues yellow alert for waves in the South China Sea.

According to the Hainan Marine Forecasting Station, influenced by Typhoon "Vipa", it is expected that from noon today to noon tomorrow: there will be huge to violent waves of 5.0-7.0 meters in the sea east of Leizhou Peninsula. Near Dongsha, east of Hainan Island, and in the Beibu Gulf, there will be large to huge waves of 3.0-5.0 meters. South of Hainan Island, near Xisha, Zhongsha, Qiongzhou Strait, and near Nansha, there will be large waves of 2.5-3.8 meters. The sea wave warning level for offshore waters is yellow. Offshore areas near Haikou, Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning, Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Sanya, Ledong Li Autonomous County, Dongfang, Changjiang Li Autonomous County, Danzhou, Lingao, and Chengmai counties will experience medium to large waves of 2.0-3.0 meters, with a blue warning level for nearshore waves.
