Today, journalists learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that from 8:00 on July 19 to 8:00 on July 20, due to local precipitation, four small and medium-sized rivers in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, including the Xiaocao River in Sichuan, the Dayu River and the Chan River in Shaanxi, and the Bengkan River in the Longjiang River, a tributary of the coastal area of eastern Guangdong, experienced floods above the warning level. Among them, the Xiaocao River in Sichuan experienced the largest flood since 1958 with actual data recorded. Due to the impact of high temperature melting snow, the peak flow of the Xiatu River, a tributary of the Ili River in Xinjiang, exceeded the warning level. Currently, most of the above-mentioned rivers have receded below the warning level.
