Shenzhen upgraded its typhoon orange alert signal for different areas.

This year's 6th typhoon "Wipha" is gradually strengthening and approaching the coastal areas of Shenzhen, Guangdong to Wenchang, Hainan. Shenzhen has activated a level four typhoon emergency response. 929 indoor emergency shelters in the city have been fully opened, and more than 100,000 people have been evacuated in advance. The City's Flood Control Office reminds the general public to closely monitor the weather department's warning and forecast information, minimize unnecessary outings, and take precautions for travel safety.
