On July 18th, China's first batch of exported locomotives returned to the factory for major overhauls and repairs at CRRC Ziyang Locomotive Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CRRC. The upgraded and repaired locomotives have successfully rolled off the production line. The locomotives that have completed the overhaul will soon depart for Turkmenistan and be put back into operation. These locomotives, which have been in service for an average of 20 years and have traveled over 2 million kilometers, are the first batch of products exported to Turkmenistan by CRRC Ziyang. At the end of 2024, CRRC Ziyang signed a contract with the State Railway Corporation of Turkmenistan for the return factory repairs, providing systematic inspections and technological upgrades for these locomotives. This project marks China's first batch of exported locomotives to undergo major overhauls and repairs. In May of this year, the first batch of returned locomotives arrived at CRRC Ziyang for comprehensive overhauls.
