Shanghai will revise a new version of the food safety reporting reward system.

On September 30th of this year, the "Shanghai Food Safety Reporting Reward Measures" which will be implemented from October 1, 2020 is about to expire. The Shanghai Market Supervision Bureau has initiated the revision of a new version of the "Reward Measures." Recently, the Market Supervision Bureau specially invited food industry experts, catering industry professionals, food delivery workers, frontline enforcement personnel, and citizen representatives to conduct a special collection of ideas around the "optimization of the food safety reporting reward system", to listen to their ideas face-to-face. Since the implementation of the food safety reporting reward system, it has played a great role in helping regulatory authorities to timely discover food safety hazards and ensure food safety. According to statistics, up to now, the market supervision department has implemented 3224 cases based on reporting clues, with rewards totaling over 1 million yuan.
