Typhoon "Vipa" is approaching Guangdong, and many places have issued a red typhoon warning.

On July 20th at 3am, the Meteorological Observatory in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province issued a red typhoon warning signal for the city. At 5am, the Meteorological Observatories in Taishan City and Xinhui District in Jiangmen upgraded the typhoon orange warning signal to red. At 6am, the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory announced that the center of Typhoon "Wipha" was very close to the land of Guangdong, its spiral rain band was swaying from east to west towards Guangdong, and Typhoon Wipha was going to sweep across the coast of Guangdong. As of 6:08 am on July 20th, there were 84 typhoon warnings, 27 heavy rain warnings, and 25 thunderstorm and strong wind warnings in effect in Guangdong Province. People in all areas are advised to take precautions against wind and rain.
