Typhoon "Wipha" is approaching. The Meteorological Department of Macao has issued the number eight northeast wind signal.
The Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau stated at 4am on the 20th that Typhoon "Vipa" is currently gathering about 220 kilometers southeast of Macao, moving westward at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour. In the future, the wind in Macao will significantly strengthen, accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain, and thunderstorms, therefore a No. 8 northeast wind signal has been issued. In addition, the possibility of issuing a No. 9 wind signal this morning is moderate to high, and the possibility of issuing a No. 10 wind signal during the day is moderate. Regarding storm surges, although the storm surge of "Vipa" is expected to coincide with astronomical high tides, due to the further strengthening of the storm and the additional impact of heavy rainfall, there is a chance of flooding in low-lying areas and inner harbors of Macao.
