The boat capsizing accident in Vietnam's Halong Bay has killed 36 people.
Around 1 am local time on July 20th, a tourist boat capsized in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, beginning the process of overturning. Rescue teams discovered the bodies of two victims inside the boat, bringing the death toll to 36. In the afternoon of July 19th, a tourist boat carrying 53 people capsized in Ha Long Bay due to stormy weather. After the accident, the relevant departments in Quang Ninh province immediately deployed rescue operations, which are still ongoing. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued an emergency notice on that day, calling for a rapid search and rescue operation for the capsized tourist boat and to make full efforts in handling the aftermath.
