According to the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory, on the 19th, during the day, the Leizhou Peninsula was influenced by the peripheral circulation of the typhoon, experiencing heavy rain to heavy downpours. The rest of Guangdong Province was mostly cloudy with scattered showers. According to meteorological and hydrological monitoring, from 8:00 to 17:00 on July 19th, 4 towns recorded over 100 millimeters of heavy rainfall in Guangdong, with Tangjia Town, Leizhou City, Zhanjiang recording the highest rainfall in the province at 177 millimeters. The Leizhou Peninsula experienced short-term gales of 8 to 10 levels. The meteorological department reminds that after approaching the Pearl River Estuary, Typhoon "Weipha" will move westward in the coastal areas, with the possibility of landing or even multiple landfalls.
