In response to Typhoon "Wei Pa", more than 4,000 people were evacuated from fish farms in Fujian.

Typhoon "Weipa" brings strong winds and waves to the coastal areas of Fujian Province. According to the forecast of the Fujian Meteorological Observatory, today, the maximum wind force in the central and southern coastal areas will be 8-9, with gusts of 10-11. The Fujian Provincial Ocean Forecasting Station has issued a yellow warning for waves. Due to the impact of Typhoon "Weipa" this morning, waves of 2.5-3.5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of Pingtan, and waves of 2.0-3.0 meters will appear in the coastal waters of Ningde, Fuzhou, Putian, Quanzhou, Xiamen, and Zhangzhou. Fujian Province maintains a level IV emergency response for typhoons. In order to ensure safety, Fujian Province has evacuated more than 4,000 people from coastal aquaculture farms in Fuzhou and Pingtan.
