"Weipa" is about to land, the China Meteorological Administration has upgraded to issue a level three emergency response for heavy rain and typhoons.

According to the China Meteorological Administration, it is expected that from July 19th to 21st, there will be heavy rainfall in the Sichuan Basin to Northeast China, among which, local heavy rainfall is expected in the Sichuan Basin, eastern Inner Mongolia, northern Hebei, eastern and southern Liaoning, eastern Jilin, western Shandong, etc. Typhoon "Weipa" is expected to make landfall along the coast from Shenzhen, Guangdong to Wenchang, Hainan in the afternoon to evening of the 20th, and there will be strong winds and rain in southern Guangdong, southern Guangxi, Hainan Island, Zhejiang and Fujian coastal areas. The China Meteorological Administration will continue to issue blue rainstorm and yellow typhoon warnings at 10:00 on the 19th. After comprehensive research and emergency consultations, the China Meteorological Administration raised the emergency response status to level three for major meteorological disasters at 16:40 on July 19th.
