Office of the National Export Control Coordination Mechanism deploys and promotes special actions to combat the smuggling of strategic minerals.

According to the Securities Times APP, on July 19th, the National Export Control Work Coordination Office organized a special meeting in Nanning, Guangxi to promote the crackdown on the smuggling of strategic minerals. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security, the National Security Bureau, the General Administration of Customs, the State Postal Administration, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and other units. The meeting called for relevant departments to continue to carry out special operations, further strengthen law enforcement efforts; to establish a joint law enforcement coordination center for dual-use item exports; to strictly investigate and handle major illegal cases in accordance with the law, and timely announce a number of typical law enforcement and judicial cases; to resolutely prevent diversion of exports, and to include foreign end-users who evade national export control measures on the export control list; to develop and publish guidelines for compliant exports of strategic minerals; to guide and warn exporting enterprises to conduct due diligence and strictly prevent related items from being illegally used for military users or military purposes.
