The Maritime Bureau of Guangxi has upgraded its emergency response to typhoons to level III.
According to the Guangxi Maritime Bureau, due to the impact of this year's Typhoon No. 6 "Wipha", the current wind in the Beibu Gulf is westward with a force of 4 to 5. It is expected to directly affect the Beibu Gulf around 18:00 on the 20th. The Guangxi Maritime Bureau raised the emergency response level for defending against typhoons and other extreme weather from Level IV to Level III at 12:00 on July 19. Currently, the maritime department is making full efforts to evacuate ships and maritime personnel before the arrival of the typhoon during the window period.
