The spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore has issued a statement regarding recent reports linking a cyber attack incident to China.

We have noticed that on July 19, Singapore's The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, and Asia News Channel, among other media outlets, quoted a certain country's cybersecurity company's information when reporting on Singapore being attacked by the cyber attack group UNC3886, claiming that this organization is related to China. China strongly protests against this and firmly opposes any unfounded accusations against China. In fact, China is one of the main victims of cyber attacks. I want to reiterate here: China firmly opposes and will legally crack down on any form of cyber attacks, and will not encourage, support, or condone hacker attacks. Cybersecurity is a global challenge. China is willing to continue cooperating with all parties, including Singapore, to jointly maintain cybersecurity in cyberspace.
