Guangdong province has raised its emergency response to level II for preventing and controlling typhoons.

According to the website of the Emergency Management Department of Guangdong Province, Typhoon "Wipha", the sixth typhoon of this year, is further strengthening and may make landfall in Guangdong Province at typhoon level, bringing serious impacts of strong winds, rain, and waves. In accordance with the "Guangdong Province Flood Control, Drought Relief, Wind Prevention, and Freeze Prevention Emergency Plan" and relevant regulations of the Provincial Emergency Response Headquarters, the Guangdong Flood Control, Drought Relief, Wind Prevention Headquarters decided to raise the wind prevention emergency response level from level IV to level II at 11:00 on July 19th.
