Baolan Railway service disrupted due to heavy rain.

China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. announced that due to heavy rainfall, around 19:00 on July 18th, the section from Hangjin Banner Station to Jianguai Station on the Baolan Railway was affected by flash floods, resulting in water overflowing the tracks, shoulders, and washing away the roadbed to varying degrees. To ensure the safety of passengers, the railway department immediately initiated an emergency response and suspended all trains in both directions in the affected area. Currently, 14 passenger trains have been turned back and 13 passenger trains have been stopped. Additional personnel have been dispatched to stations such as Hohhot Station, Baotou Station, and Wuhai West Station, more ticket windows have been opened dynamically to ensure passengers can get refunds or change tickets. In order to resume train operations as soon as possible, China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. has organized over 760 rescue workers and 41 large mechanical equipment, including loaders, excavators, and dump trucks, to rush to the scene for rescue operations. They have transported 21 cars of road material and 22 cars of gravel, and are currently working to clear the tracks with full effort.
