"Weipa" has moved into the northeastern part of the South China Sea with Hainan Island experiencing strong winds and rainy weather.

At 07:00, its center was located at 20.0 degrees north latitude, 120.0 degrees east longitude, which is about 930 kilometers northeast of Wenchang City, Hainan Province, in the northeastern South China Sea. The maximum wind force near the center is level 10, and the radius of the 7th level wind circle is 260-380 kilometers. It is expected that "Wipha" will move in a west-northwest direction at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour, gradually intensifying, and gradually approaching the coast from Shenzhen, Guangdong to Wenchang, Hainan. It is expected to land on the aforementioned coast in the afternoon or evening of the 20th. The Hainan Provincial Meteorological Observatory predicts that due to the impact of "Wipha", from the 19th to the 22nd during the day, most of the sea areas in Hainan Province will experience strong wind and rain. From the night of the 19th to the day of the 22nd, Hainan Island will experience strong wind and rain, with the northern and western regions experiencing heavy to extremely heavy rain, locally.
