According to Decrypt, Labour MP Pat McFadden has stated that the UK should consider banning political donations in cryptocurrency. Just two months ago, Reform UK announced that it would accept cryptocurrency donations, making it the first political party in the UK to do so. Ian Taylor, board advisor to the digital asset advocacy group Crypto UK, said that McFadden's comments are "absolutely" a political move aimed at hindering Reform UK's growing popularity.
