EU artificial intelligence regulation framework faces division: Microsoft (MSFT.US) plans to join behavior guidelines, while Meta (META.US) explicitly refuses.
According to the Securities Times APP, Microsoft (MSFT.US) European Union President revealed on Friday that the EU may adopt its artificial intelligence code of conduct to assist companies in complying with the "Artificial Intelligence Act," while Meta (META.US) has explicitly refused to participate in the voluntary framework. This code of conduct, drafted by 13 independent experts, aims to provide legal certainty for signatory parties, requiring participating companies to publicly disclose summaries of training data for general artificial intelligence models and to develop policies in compliance with EU copyright law.
