Mexican Tourism Minister: Mexico will take multiple measures to promote tourism cooperation with China, and believes that the 2026 World Cup will be a new opportunity.

On July 16th, Ambassador Chen Daojiang of China met with Mexican Minister of Tourism Rodriguez, exchanging views on further enhancing exchanges and cooperation in the tourism sector between China and Mexico and reaching a broad consensus. Rodriguez welcomed Ambassador Chen to Mexico and noted that China is one of Mexico's most important tourism markets. In recent years, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Mexico has grown rapidly, making China the ninth largest source of tourists for Mexico. The potential for future tourism cooperation between the two countries is enormous. Mexico will take various measures to promote tourism cooperation with China, and believes that hosting the 2026 World Cup will provide a new opportunity to attract more Chinese tourists to visit Mexico.
