XinSi Technology announces the completion of the acquisition of Ansys.

On July 17th, the American semiconductor EDA giant Synopsys announced the completion of its acquisition of the simulation EDA company Ansys. The transaction was announced on January 16, 2024, at a price of $35 billion. Synopsys hopes to accelerate the development of AI-driven products by integrating leading companies in chip design, IP cores, and simulation and analysis through mergers and acquisitions. On July 14th, 2025, the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation conditionally approved the acquisition. With this approval, the Synopsys acquisition of Ansys has received all necessary approvals. It is understood that after the completion of the acquisition, former Ansys President, CEO, and board member Ajei Gopal and former Ansys board member Ravi Vijayaraghavan will join the Synopsys board of directors with immediate effect.
