A refugee camp in western Sudan was shelled, resulting in 8 deaths.

On July 17th local time, the health department of the Abu Shouk refugee camp in North Darfur, Sudan, issued a statement stating that the camp was shelled that day, resulting in the deaths of 8 civilians and injuries to many others. The statement blamed the Sudan Rapid Support Forces for launching the shelling, accusing the armed group of deliberately shelling the Abu Shouk refugee camp, destroying civilian infrastructure within the camp and causing casualties. The Rapid Support Forces have not responded to these accusations.
