The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Safety Emergency Equipment Standardization Working Group held its inaugural meeting.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, on July 14, 2025, the Security Emergency Equipment Standardization Working Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held its inaugural meeting and first plenary committee meeting in Beijing. The meeting pointed out that the establishment of the Security Emergency Equipment Standardization Working Group is an important measure to implement the relevant decisions of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and is an important guarantee for consolidating industry consensus and strengthening the research and application of new technologies and new equipment. The working group is numbered MIIT/SWG1 and is mainly responsible for the revision of industry standards in the fields of basic general security emergency equipment, information technology applications, intelligent equipment, and management services. The secretariat is located at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. The establishment of the working group will further enhance the role of standards in regulation and leading, promote technological innovation and application of security emergency equipment, and help improve the industry's inherent safety level and disaster prevention, reduction, and relief capabilities.
