The US military claims to have killed around 200 "Islamic State" affiliated militants in Nigeria.

On June 9th local time, the US Africa Command stated that since launching operations in Nigeria, the US-Nigeria joint operation has killed about 200 armed individuals affiliated with the extremist organization "Islamic State". The public affairs director of the US Africa Command stated that the joint operation also dismantled armed checkpoints and destroyed multiple logistical hubs established by the armed individuals.
