The UK two-year government bond yield fell by more than 4 basis points, following the drop in international oil prices.
At the end of the European market on Tuesday, the yield on the UK 10-year government bond fell by 3.4 basis points to 4.909%, remaining in a downward trend throughout the day. At 21:49 Beijing time, it hit a daily low of 4.891%. The yield on the 2-year UK bond dropped by 4.4 basis points to 4.335%, briefly hitting a daily low of 4.315%. The yield on the 30-year UK bond fell by 2.9 basis points, while the yield on the 50-year UK bond dropped by 2.6 basis points. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year UK bonds increased by 0.677 basis points to +57.142 basis points.
