According to CNBC, JPMorgan Chase plans to deploy artificial intelligence agents later this year. These agents will be able to operate autonomously for much longer than the existing versions, marking another important milestone in the use of AI by businesses. JPMorgan Chase's Chief Analyst, Derek Waldron, said in an interview with CNBC that AI agents are evolving from tools that perform single tasks to digital workers that can manage multiple steps and different software programs. "We are now entering the era of long-term autonomous agents," Waldron said. "This means that agents can not only run for two to three minutes to execute human goals or commands, but can also run continuously for one to two hours." In addition, JPMorgan Chase stated that artificial intelligence has already started driving business performance growth, including a 20% increase in total sales for private banking, and is expected to eventually expand bankers' coverage of clients by up to 50%.
