According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, on June 9, 2026, China successfully launched the "China Mobile 02 Satellite" into orbit using the Zhuque II improved Long March rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The China Mobile 02 Satellite, developed by China Mobile Communications Group, is a satellite internet technology experimental satellite mainly used for testing mobile direct connection satellites and technology validation for space-ground network integration. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology provided strong support for the smooth implementation of the satellite internet technology experimental satellite project by guiding the domestic frequency coordination of the relevant satellites, issuing space radio station licenses and radio frequency usage permits.
