Analyst: Advertising agencies will continue to play a role in the AI era.
Analysts at Berenberg stated in a research report that advertising agencies are working hard to address long-term challenges, but they still remain attractive in the era of disruption brought about by artificial intelligence. Berenberg said that AI will make it easier for marketers to complete certain tasks internally, but it will also make the marketing landscape more complex and fragmented. "Advertising agencies have been continuously adapting, shifting from traditional media to digital, data, and now towards AI," the analysts at Berenberg said. "Their next phase of attractiveness is built on two main pillars: acting as strategic marketing coordinators in an increasingly complex ecosystem, and providing scalable data, technology, and AI capabilities." Berenberg initiated coverage on the stocks of Publicis, WPP, and Havas for the first time, giving them a buy rating. The stocks of Havas, WPP, and Publicis rose by 5.7%, 4.3%, and 2.4% respectively.
