Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (01398.HK): Redemption of Non-fixed Term Capital Bonds (First Tranche) Due in 2021

Intelligence Finance APP News, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (01398.HK) announced that from June 4th to 8th, 2021, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited ("the Bank") issued RMB 70 billion of perpetual capital bonds in the national interbank bond market. On June 8th, 2021, the Bank released the "Announcement of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited on the Completion of the Issuance of Perpetual Capital Bonds." According to the relevant provisions in the prospectus of this bond issue, the bonds have a redemption right for the issuer, and the Bank has the right to fully redeem the bonds at face value on the interest payment date of the fifth year of the bond issue (June 8, 2026).
