Wuhan paid 8.1 million yuan to Xiaogan and Suizhou.

According to Hubei Daily, recently, Wuhan city has paid ecological compensation funds of 4.45 million yuan and 3.65 million yuan respectively to Xiaogan city and Suizhou city, which are located upstream of the Furong River basin. Since the three cities signed a basin ecological compensation agreement in 2023, Xiaogan and Suizhou have received compensation for three consecutive years for meeting water quality standards, with a total amount of compensation reaching 16.95 million yuan and 16.45 million yuan respectively.
