China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles: The export environment for textiles and clothing in May improved month-on-month, with a slight decrease compared to the same period last year.

According to the Wisdom Financial APP, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles issued a statement that in May, Sino-US economic and trade relations tended to ease, driving a relatively rapid growth in clothing exports month-on-month, with an overall increase of 6.4% in textile and clothing exports. Due to a high base last year, textile and clothing exports in May decreased slightly year-on-year, while cumulative exports from January to May maintained a weak growth. According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs on June 9, in terms of USD, textile and clothing exports in May amounted to 25.61 billion USD, a decrease of 2.3% year-on-year, and an increase of 6.4% month-on-month. Among them, textile exports were 12.59 billion USD, a decrease of 0.3%, and a decrease of 0.9% month-on-month, while clothing exports were 13.02 billion USD, a decrease of 4.1%, and an increase of 14.7% month-on-month. From January to May, cumulative textile and clothing exports reached 116.72 billion USD, an increase of 0.1% year-on-year.
