On June 8, 2026, Alexander Freire, Deputy Director of the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil, and An Lanqiu, Head of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Brazilian Embassy in China, visited the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. Wei Ran, Chief Engineer of the CAICT, attended and hosted the exchange activities. During the visit, Wei Ran accompanied Freire and his delegation to visit the 5G international certification RF testing laboratory and the personal information protection laboratory, and listened to the progress of the establishment of the China-Brick countries Artificial Intelligence Development and Cooperation Center and the international testing and certification business of the TEL laboratory, and had in-depth discussions on the next steps for cooperation.
