The steam temperature reaches 631 degrees Celsius - the "hottest" power generator unit in the world is put into operation.
On June 8th, the world's first 630 degrees Celsius level supercritical million kilowatt coal-fired unit with three main units and key auxiliary equipment provided by Dongfang Electric Group was successfully completed 168 hours of full-load trial operation and officially put into commercial operation - the Datang Shandong Yuncheng 630 degrees Celsius National Power Demonstration Project Unit 1. This is currently the coal-fired unit with the highest temperature, highest pressure, highest efficiency, and lowest coal consumption in the world, injecting new momentum into the development of China's clean and efficient coal power industry.
As the first batch of national energy equipment with leading parameters in the world, the project was selected as the first major technical equipment in the energy field by the National Energy Administration. The unit's core parameters set new global records: reheat steam temperature of 631 degrees Celsius, main steam pressure of 35.5 megapascals, power generation efficiency of 50.05%, and power generation coal consumption as low as 245.74 grams/kilowatt hour. Compared to conventional million-kilowatt units, the project can save about 208,000 tons of standard coal per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 540,000 tons.
