The General Office of the People's Government of Hainan Province issued the "Hainan Province's 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of High-Tech Industries", which points out that relying on the advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the Boao Lecheng policies, efforts will be made to accelerate the innovation breakthrough in biopharmaceuticals, transformation of high-end chemical medicines, branding and specialization of modern traditional Chinese medicines, and integration of smart medical devices, promoting the "high-end, intelligent, and international" development of the biomedicine industry. With the focus on the "Four Districts Linkage" of Haikou, Qionghai, Sanya, and Danzhou, a complete ecological system of the "Research and Development + Manufacturing + Service + Trade" chain will be established to create an international cooperation platform for introducing global innovative drugs and exporting Chinese innovative medical devices. By 2030, the revenue of the modern biomedicine industry is striving to reach 50 billion yuan.
