A residential fire in Shantou, Guangdong Province resulted in eight deaths.

According to the emergency notification released by the Chaozhou District Fire Rescue Brigade in Shantou City, Guangdong Province on the early morning of the 10th, at 21:20 on the 9th, a residential building in Danfeng Road, Xiamen Street, Chaozhou District, caught fire, resulting in 8 fatalities. It was reported that after receiving the report, the fire department quickly dispatched personnel to the rescue. At 22:03, the fire was extinguished on site. After preliminary investigation, the building on fire was a four-story self-built house with reinforced concrete structure, with a fire area of about 150 square meters. The fire scene resulted in 8 fatalities and 4 injured persons have been sent to the hospital for treatment. Currently, the investigation into the cause of the fire and the follow-up disposal work are being carried out in an orderly manner.
