Cuban people gather to support Venezuela, condemn US military threats
Nearly a thousand people from all walks of life in Cuba held a rally in the capital Havana on the 6th to condemn the United States' military threats and sanctions against Venezuela, and reaffirm their support for the Venezuelan government. Teresa Amarelle, Secretary General of the Federation of Cuban Women, said at the rally that US sanctions against Venezuela are a "collective torture" and an attempt to "force a nation that has never kneeled to surrender through hunger." Amarelle stressed that the so-called drug trafficking groups only exist in the "imagination of American imperialism" and the US has failed to provide any evidence to support its claims.
