The edible fungus industry chain in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province has a total output value exceeding 10 billion yuan.
Recently, a batch of Lele packaged mushroom cans from Zhangzhou, Fujian successfully cleared customs and were listed in Sweden, marking the "zero breakthrough" of Fujian's mushroom can exports. This is not only a breakthrough in a single product, but also a reflection of the overall strength of the edible mushroom industry in Zhangzhou, known as the "mushroom capital of China". Zhangzhou is the world's largest producer of white shimeji mushrooms and pig stomach mushrooms, and the largest producer of shiitake mushrooms in China, with more than 70% of canned mushroom exports nationwide. Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", Zhangzhou has had 5 provincial-level leading mushroom packaging enterprises, over 10 professional service teams, 4 edible mushroom machinery manufacturing enterprises, and over 200 processing enterprises. By 2024, the production of fresh edible mushrooms in Zhangzhou will reach 1.09 million tons, and the total industry chain value combining mushroom packaging, fresh product packaging, and deep processing of food will exceed 10 billion RMB.
