A few giant companies, such as Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL.US), Amazon (AMZN.US), Meta (META.US), and Microsoft (MSFT.US), have used this formula to take market share from traditional enterprises and drive the U.S. stock market to new highs. However, a key part of this successful model, namely the relatively small amount of capital needed to generate massive profits, is increasingly threatened by the competition in artificial intelligence research and development.
