The 2025 International Maritime Expo opens, with a group of domestically produced innovative technologies making a concentrated appearance.
From December 2nd to 5th, the 2025 China International Maritime Technology Conference and Exhibition, known as the "Global Maritime Industry Compass", was held in Shanghai. With the theme of "Innovation and Cooperation, Promoting Sustainable Development of the Maritime Industry", this exhibition covered over 110,000 square meters for the first time, attracting more than 2,200 companies from over 40 countries and regions to participate, setting a new record in scale. This maritime exhibition showcased a number of domestically produced innovative technologies. Focused on "Building a Low-Carbon Ecological Chain", it covered multiple areas such as green power, intelligent systems, and robot applications, demonstrating the comprehensive progress of China's maritime technology. The country's first 5,500 horsepower ammonia-powered port operation ship successfully completed sailing trials, marking a significant milestone in the practical application of clean fuel. Meanwhile, the independently developed methanol dual-fuel burner obtained the first type approval certificate in China from the China Classification Society, solving a key challenge in the localization of green ship equipment.
