On December 1st, Xia Baolong, Deputy Head of the Leading Group for Work on Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, and Director of the State Councils Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, went to Shenzhen to carry out work, coordinating with the Ministry of Emergency Management and other relevant central departments to continue providing assistance and support for the rescue and relief work of the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong. Relevant leaders of the Ministry of Emergency Management also arrived in Shenzhen to fully support the Hong Kong SAR government in carrying out relevant relief work. After the first batch of emergency equipment and materials were delivered, as of December 2nd, according to the material needs of the Hong Kong SAR government, the Ministry of Emergency Management coordinated with the National Fire and Rescue Bureau and relevant public welfare foundations to urgently provide the second batch of equipment and materials to the Hong Kong SAR government, including portable outdoor charging stations, blowers, respirators, goggles, protective clothing, headlamps, waterproof boots, and organic vapor filter cartridges, which have arrived in Hong Kong and been quickly delivered to the scene for use by rescue personnel. The Ministry of Emergency Management and other relevant central departments will continue to provide support and assistance according to the deployment of the Central Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and the needs of the Hong Kong SAR government.
