The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong closed up 0.24%, while the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 0.37%. Stocks of new energy vehicles declined, with NIO falling more than 6% and XPeng Motors falling more than 5%; pharmaceutical stocks weakened, with BeiGene Biotechnology falling more than 10% and Gilead Sciences falling more than 6%; ZTE fell more than 5%, Meituan fell more than 3%, and Huahong Semi fell nearly 3%. Everest Gold rose more than 7%, and Vanke Enterprise rose more than 3% in late trading.
