The Hong Kong SAR Government has banned the operation of "Hong Kong Council" and "Hong Kong Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong" in Hong Kong.

Secretary for Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, John Lee Ka-chiu, on 2nd October exercised the power conferred by Article 60 of the National Security Law, published in the Official Gazette, prohibiting the operation or continued operation of "Hong Kong Parliament" and "Hong Kong Democratic Sovereignty Solidarity" in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, with immediate effect.
