Shanghai: All newly build or updated public charging facilities must use products that have obtained mandatory certification through charging pile products.

The Shanghai Municipal Transport Commission and others have issued a notice on strengthening the safety management of new energy vehicle charging facilities in the city's public areas. It is proposed that public charging facilities should meet the national standards such as the "Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicle Conductive Charging Systems" and "Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment". It is encouraged for enterprises to invest in high-quality and reliable charging facilities, such as products with type test reports with CNAS or CMA markings, or products with product test reports and standards compliance certificates issued by third-party testing institutions.
